Internet Addresses Using the Cyrillic?
Russia is a large country with a large population, but currently it does not have a large number of internet users. However it is a fast developing country and the number of internet users could even grow by 50% within the next two years. There is an opinion among analysts that the number of internet users is not that high, because Russians are not used to using the Latin alphabet. This observation led to a decision to implement a new domain extension, available in Cyrillic. Before this decision Russians were using the .ru and .su extension. Some people are asking how will it affect the web and whether it is a good choice. I am pretty sure that this will put some gap between Russians and the rest of the world, because it will be difficult for most Americans or Europeans to even type the new Cyrillic domain name. In Eastern Europe there are more and more people learning English, so I don’t fully understand why would they have problems surfing the web. Generally speaking I think that this decision will be beneficial in short term, but may not be so beneficial in long term.

Protection Against CCTV?
Surveillance is more and more popular these days and this is not good news for those who value their privacy. Fortunately there are some steps being made in order to make surveillance more appealing to the public. There is a software which claims that it can scramble the face of the person, so that it will only be visible for those in charge of the software when they will spot some suspicious behavior. When they notice something suspicious they will have the option to remove blurring. It sounds good, but it implies that you can trust security guards and their judgment. I know that many people will still not be completely satisfied with this software anyway, but it is a step in the right direction.

Blogs and Hot Technology News
When it comes to blogging, bloggers want to have the most interesting articles and information posted on their site. While there is a lot of cooperation between bloggers, you can sometimes feel the tension, especially when a blogger feels that some harm was done to him. This is often provoked by copying and pasting articles from other blogs and posting it on your own. Writing an article is not an easy task, as it requires time, focusing on your task, ideas and so on. Nobody wants to have his articles posted all over the web without permission and this includes technology blogs. That is why I encourage bloggers to write their own articles, of which they can be proud of.

Developers Still Prefer Windows XP
Windows Vista as a successor to Windows XP has been released long time ago. Even though there was a lot of time to switch to Vista, many computer users and software developers still prefer Windows XP. This is reflected in statistics as recently a study revealed that only 10% of software developers are developing software for Vista, while around 50% are still writing software for Windows XP. There are many reasons behind this and I understand the situation perfectly, as I didn’t switch to Windows XP as well. Why wouldn’t a computer geek switch to Vista, you may ask? There are at least a few reasons:

Cutting Text in Microsoft Word
Here is the third, my favorite method of cutting the text:
By using your keyboard. This is the method that I am using the most. In order to eliminate a piece of text, select this text and press button Ctrl and X at the same time. This will surely remove the text. This is the easiest and the least time consuming method providing that you remember the shortcut. If you find it difficult to remember some of the shortcuts on your keyboard like cut, paste or copy, I suggest that you buy a keyboard (the one that I am having) that will have this information written on particular buttons. It is very helpful and it will save you a lot of time.
