Ways to Insert a Picture Into Your Presentations
Naturally PowerPoint offers many ways to enrich our presentations with pictures. There are two places from which you can take your picture in order to insert it: Clip Art or any file stored on your disk. If you wish to insert an image from Clip Art, follow these steps:
1. First, make sure that you are in a slide where you want to insert a picture.
2. Go to the Insert menu and select there Picture. Next select Clip Art and watch how a dialog box pops up. Choose a clip and insert it.
3. Alternatively you can insert a picture from Clip Art By going to drawing tool bar and clicking on Insert Clip Art button. Next, select the category of your picture and then your picture that you wish to insert. Right click on it and from the scrolling menu select Insert command.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so it is important to know how to use pictures effectively to convey your message, especially when it comes to PowerPoint presentations. Never estimate the value of pictures.

How to Sort Your Emails
You can sort your emails in MS Outlook in many different ways. This tip will only include MS Outlook, however other email programs have similar features. Here it is how you can sort your incoming messages:
1. Open your Inbox and localize the bar at the top of it.
2. On this bar you will see categories like From, Subject, Received and Size.
3. Click on Size for example and your messages will be sorted from smallest to the largest.
4. Click on Subject, and your messages will be sorted in alphabetical order according to the first letter in the subject.
5. Click on From, and the messages will be arranged alphabetically according to the name of a sender.
6. Click on Received and the messages will appear in the order you received them.
I hope this will be useful, as organizing emails might often not seem that easy, especially if you are receiving a lot of them.

A Few Ways to Dial Your Internet Connection
It seems a little bit obsolete nowadays, but you will be surprised how many people still dial their internet connection. There are at least a few ways to do it. Here they go:
Whenever you use dial-up you should be aware that you are going to be charged per hour and if you like to surf the internet many hours in a row, it might be a better choice to actually invest in a broadband connection.

Increasing Windows Page File
A page file in the Windows operating system is a temporary source of memory used by the system in processing functions. The problem is that if your page file is too small, then your computer might be suffering from poor performance. Fortunately, there is a way to increase the page file and you can do it by right clicking on My Computer -> selecting properties -> selecting “Advanced Tab” -> selecting “Settings” and after clicking on the advanced button you can change the size of your virtual memory. Most computers do not need this adjustment, but you may want to verify if your page file is around 1.5 times the amount of your RAM, as this is the recommended setting.

Where to Start Blogging
As for a starting blogger I think that the best way to start a blog is to do it on a free domain. There are a lot of free platforms available, the most widely known is probably Blogger. Blogger has been around from the late nineties and at some point has been purchased by Google. Having a blog on Blogger is very easy. You simply create your account, choose a template and basically you are ready to go. No fees, no contracts, no wondering which web hosting provider to choose. Everything is very easy. You can start blogging as soon as you want, decorate your template and do many other things. The only downside is the fact that the advertisers prefer to place their ads on blogs which are not free, but this is another story.

Searching for Music Using Google
There are thousands of free mp3 files/songs that you can find over the internet, but this often isn’t easy as you would have to visit each website separately. Did you know that you can search for music using Google? To do this you first have to decide which files are we going to search for. One of the most popular file types are mp3, wma, ogg and wav. That is why we are going to search to the files I listed. Secondly we have to search webpages/folders for music and to do this we are going to seach for html, htm and download. Now, let’s put it all together:
-”parent directory” mp3 OR wma OR ogg OR wav jingle bells -html -htm -download.
Copy the above line and paste it in Google and this will search for “jingle bells”. You can search for other songs or artists just by replacing “jingle bells” with anything you want. Please make sure that the music you download is not copyrighted. Enjoy!

What to do When Your Computer Shuts Down
Some time ago I had a problem that my PC was shutting down after being on for a few minutes, especially when I was in graphically rich applications. I noticed that my computer is not as noisy as usual, and I thought that I should check if the fans in my computer are working. I installed a temp. monitoring software and noticed that my computer was switching off when CPU temperature was 120C and this was the confirmation that I needed to know that this indeed was an overheating problem due to fan/fans not working. After inspection I noticed that the CPU fan was not spinning at all, and I replaced the whole cooler along with the heatsink and fan, while making sure that I buy the correct cooler for my computers socket type (in this case 939). I hope that this story may help you if you encounter similar problems.

Online File Conversion
There are dozens of different file extensions and while we do not need to know what all of them stand for, often it is important to recognize some movie and music extensions if you want to successfully play them. Unfortunately this may not always be enough, as many video players or image viewers might not be capable of working with all of the video or image file formats. In such a case you can either purchase a better video player or you can convert your video clip/movie in order to be able to open it with your favorite video player. While it may sound complicated and costly, believe it is not, as all you have to do is visit a site like media-convert.com and after uploading your file, it will be converted according to your specifications. The whole process is free and quite fast, so feel free to bookmark this site and visit it, when you will want to convert video clips, pictures, text documents, data, presentations etc.

Don’t Spam
I never liked telemarketers, as they disturb you when you want to relax, are working or have a meal with your family. Basically they waste your time and are usually not welcomed. On the internet the same is true with spammers. Spammers post and send messages, that nobody is interested in, so they waste your time among other things. One of the targets of spammers is MySpace as it is a very popular site with many pages to spam. MySpace has been fighting with spammers for quite some time and it is suing many marketers who basically flood MySpace with unwanted messages. MySpace has already won a few cases including $6 and $230 million dollars. I hope the war on spam goes well.

Reward Programs
Loyalty cards, reward cards, discount cards or however you wish to call them have been around for quite a long time. No wonder that such programs would also extend to the Web. One of the most popular programs in Europe is iPoints. This program features free membership and you can exchange your points for hundreds of rewards. You can collect the points at hundreds of online merchants which chose to cooperate and incorporate the iPoints system on their site. There are also a lot of offers that will enable you to collect iPods for free, without spending anything. Usually such offers require you to register at a particular website in order to check out their services. What I like about iPods is that you can be actually rewarded for shopping online, instead of visiting traditional mortal and brick businesses.
